I started this blog after the wedding because I loved writing the blog that was all about the wedding planning process oh so much.
I enjoyed writing and I enjoyed reading all of the comments and e-mails from everyone that enjoyed reading about it all. I started this blog with the hope that I would find just as much passion. As you can see by the number of posts (lack thereof), I haven’t found that passion. SO…this blog, if it lives at all, is going to be about me, myself, and I. I plan on writing because I want to write on topics that I want to write about. Not writing in hope of keeping people happy, but writing because I want to.
My blog will probably turn into one big vent session, but it’ll be me. It’ll probably be good for me to vent to y’all (if there is a y’all) so that my husband has to hear less of it after his stressful days.
So…here’s to a “new” blog!

Honestly, I didn’t mean to make bites…I wanted to make cookies, but our cookies sheets were dirty and I was too lazy to clean them.
I didn’t plan on making any dessert today, but when I was shopping at HEB, the candies were on sale so I decided to buy and come up with something.
As I walked through the store, the Pillsbury cookie dough was also on sale. You can see where this is going. So, I bought some chocolate chip cookie dough.
Well, I opened this one already, got a little too anxious.
The Pillsbury cookie dough comes already portioned.
I took each pre-portioned dough ball and rolled it around a Mini Rolo or a Mini Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. I did 12 mini-Rolo’s and 12 mini- Reese’s. I then placed them in a mini cupcake pan.
Baked it for the amount of time and temperature on the package of cookie dough and…TA DA!!!
These are AMAZING!! The Rolo’s ooze the caramel out and the Reese’s is a great combination between chocolate and peanut butter.
A SUPER EASY, but DELICIOUS recipe for LAZY days!
I absolutely LOVE this!
The Mr. and I have opposite schedules so it is sometimes hard to spend quality time together.
As y’all know, he is a Texas High School Football Coach and I work night shift at the hospital. We get most evenings together. I’ll sleep a little in the morning, take care of the house, cook dinner, eat dinner with my husband and then sleep a little bit more before I go into work. He usually lies down with me to help me fall asleep in the evening and he always tells me, “This is my favorite part of the whole day.”
Although I don’t get to see him off to work everyday, when I have to work the weekend, my days off will be Wednesday and Thursday and it’s always SO hard to see him leave. I always want him to stay, but I know that we are blessed to have work and I must let him go.
It’s good to know that we are on the right track to a happy marriage!!

Tonight is the first game of the season!
I can’t believe that it is already here. It’s been crazy around here these past few weeks and now it’s game time!
Last year, The Mr. was the Tight Ends coach and he was up in the press box during games. The only time I got to see him was for the 20 seconds that he would come out to go down the the locker room for half time. This year, since is is the OL coach and Special Teams coordinator, he’ll be down on the field! I’m so excited to be able to watch him and his reactions throughout the game.
I’m also excited about people coming to the games with me! My two best friends have moved to Houston over the past 3 months so I’m hoping they will be able to join me in attending games. My cousin also moved out so my uncle said he plans on filling his time with some games as well. It’s going to be great to have some company with me, especially since I will be extra nervous. Now that he is the coordinator, his job depends on performance of the team.
Well, here we go, it’s game time….wish us luck!
